Deb is an author, designer and instructor who has been travelling and teaching as a sewing machine consultant as well as a Martha Pullen Heirloom Sewing instructor. She is currently working with RNK Distributing and is conducting Jenny Haskin's Touch of Magic sewing events hosted by sewing machine dealerships throughout the U.S. Take a peek at her teaching schedule to see where she will be teaching next.
She used 20th century sewing technology to take hand smocking to the sewing machine. Her technique looks so good that you have to look twice to tell if the smocking was done by hand or machine! She shares her knowledge via her books on machine smocking as well as instructional sewing videos and patterns. She has also written articles for major sewing publications such as Sew News, Threads, Sew Beautiful, Creative Machine Embroidery as well as the new publication, Classic Sewing. She has appeared on the America Sews program with Sue Hausmann as well as Martha's Sewing Room with Martha Pullen.
Take a look through the Photo Gallery to be inspired to take your sewing and smocking to another creative level as you see what is possible to create with 21st century sewing machine technology!
